Sierra Leone’s Ambassador in Saudi Arabia Concludes Follow-up meeting with Saudi’s Director of Hajj & Umrah Affairs

Riyadh, Tuesday, June 7, 2022-
Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh has held a follow-up meeting with the Director of Hajj and Umrah, Consular Section in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Abdul Mun’im Al-Mahmud, in which the two discussed issues related to intending pilgrims from Sierra Leone for the 2022 Hajj.
The two top Diplomats discussed issues related to the Hajj portal and visa arrangements for the pre-Hajj delegation, which is expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia this week.
Ambassador Jalloh made a case for Hajj permits to be issued to Sierra Leoneans living in Saudi Arabia whom he said were always supportive to Sierra Leonean pilgrims during Hajj over the years.
The Ambassador also requested for non Sierra Leonean Muslims and expatriates in Sierra Leone wanting to perform Hajj to be considered in this year’s Hajj.
Responding, the Director of Hajj and Umrah, Consular Section in the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdul Mun’im Al-Mahmud said the Embassy should submit a request highlighting all the issues discussed. He said he would then transmit the request to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Affairs in Jeddah for consideration.
Ambassador Jalloh was accompanied by the Head of Chancery, Mr. Ahmed Tejan Kabba, the First Secretary, Mr. Mohamed Sankoh and the Information Attaché, Abubakarr Bah.
