April 14, 2026— His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio has formally received the letters of credence from H.E. Saud Al-Musaed, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sierra Leone.
Ambassador Saud Mushabab Al Musaed commended the swift establishment of his country’s diplomatic presence in Freetown and reaffirmed a commitment to expanding cooperation based on mutual respect and shared benefits.
In a post on his official Facebook page following the presentation ceremony at State House, President Bio wrote: “I was pleased to accept the letters of credence from H.E. Saud Al-Musaed, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Sierra Leone. As you begin your duties, I look forward to building a strong and harmonious relationship between our nations.”

Saudi Arabia and Sierra Leone have maintained diplomatic relations since 1979, collaborating in areas including education, health, and development financing through the Saudi Fund for Development.
