Riyadh, Monday, May 30, 2022-
Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Jalloh has concluded a follow-up meeting with the Deputy Minister of State for African Countries in the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Sami Saleh in which the two discussed issues related to the strengthening of bilateral ties between the two nations.
The two top diplomats discussed Saudi Arabia’s support for Sierra Leone’s Bid for the United Nations Security Council in the Non-Permanent Category for 2024-2025, which Dr Saleh said was on course.
Dr Saleh also said that plans for the State Visit of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio to the Kingdom were underway;
He said the authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were assiduously working on the opening of the Saudi Embassy in Freetown in two months’ time.
He said that the signing of the General Cooperation Agreement as well as the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on poitical consultations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Sierra Leone was on course.
