Ambassador Barrie Formalizes Sierra Leone’s Representation at OIC

His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed S Barrie, Sierra Leone’s Permanent Representative to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), presented his Letters of Credence to OIC Secretary General H.E Hissein Brahim Taha on Sunday April 27, 2025.

Established in 1969, the OIC is the second-largest intergovernmental organization after the UN, comprising 57 member states. Sierra Leone has been a member since 1972.

The OIC promotes international peace, security, and harmony, focusing on economic, social, and political issues while safeguarding Muslim world interests.
