Sierra Leone’s Presidential Taskforce on Hajj Participates in Saudi Arabia’s 5th Hajj Conference

The Government of Sierra Leone, through the Presidential Taskforce on Hajj, on Sunday, 9th November 2025 participated at the opening ceremony of the 5th edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The event, themed “From Mecca to the World,” brings together government officials, private sector representatives, and international stakeholders to shape the future of Hajj services.

The three-day conference at the Jeddah Superdome aims to enhance pilgrim experience, with over 80 dialogue sessions, 60 workshops, and training for more than 2,400 participants. With participants from over 150 countries and numerous organizations, the event seeks to integrate efforts for the next Hajj season and elevate services to international standards.

The Sierra Leone delegation comprises Alhaji Murtada Sesay, Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Hajj, Ambassador Dr Ibrahim Jalloh, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce, Alhaji Mohamed Haji-Kella, Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Mohammed Barrie, Alhaji Ahmed Tejan Kabba, Head of Chancery and other Embassy officials.
