Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia– February 9, 2026-
Sierra Leone’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Morie Lengor Esq., together with the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Mr. Sahr Yamba Senesi, are attending the third Edition of the Global Defense Exhibition and Security Matters, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from February 8 to 12, 2026, as part of the World Defense Show (WDS) 2026. The annual gathering brings together global security leaders to discuss collaborative approaches to peace and security in an increasingly unpredictable world.
The event aimed to foster collaboration and innovation in defense and security, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and strategies to address global security challenges.
Meeting with key sectors, the Honourable Minister conveyed salutations and gratitude from H.E. President Bio and the people of Sierra Leone to His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz Bin Nayeb Bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Government, and the citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their hospitality and continued support. He commended the Saudi Arabia government for facilitating the annual Exhibition, which he described as a “laudable initiative” that fosters collaboration and friendship among security stakeholders worldwide. The Exhibition concluded with a display of different national and international company profiles showcasing what they can offer in terms of providing security.
On the sidelines of the Exhibition, Honourable Minister Lengor and the Deputy Inspector General of Police held very fruitful consultative meetings with their counterparts across the sub-region. The delegation made site visits aiming to explore more avenues in combating crimes and other security matters. The Honourable Minister of Internal Affairs is accompanied by the Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mr. John Bosco Momoh.
