Timothy Kabba Pays a Courtesy call on Staff of the Sierra Leone Mission in Riyadh 

The Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was honoured to receive the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Alhaji Musa Timothy Kabba, during a familiarisation visit to the Sierra Leone Embassy in Riyadh on Monday, 18 August 2025.

His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Barrie, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, warmly welcomed Minister Kabba and his delegation, commending the significance of the visit amidst the Minister’s high-level engagements in the Kingdom.

During the visit, Minister Kabba expressed his appreciation for the cordial reception and hospitality extended by the Embassy. He acknowledged the leadership’s commendable efforts in refurbishing the Embassy and enhancing its operational environment. The Minister further lauded the professionalism, dedication, and enthusiasm of the Embassy staff, encouraging continued teamwork and solidarity in advancing Sierra Leone’s diplomatic mission.

Minister Kabba emphasized the importance of aligning the Mission’s activities with the strategic priorities of His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, particularly the Big Five Gamechangers agenda. He underscored the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role as a regional economic hub and encouraged the Mission to deepen bilateral cooperation and pursue opportunities that support Sierra Leone’s development aspirations.

The Deputy Ambassador, Alhaji Abdul Aziz Turay, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, commending the Minister’s transformative leadership and recognizing the collaborative efforts of Acting Director General Mr. Alan C. Logan in facilitating the work of the Mission.

Minister Kabba’s three-day visit to the Kingdom, undertaken as a special envoy of President Bio, includes strategic engagements aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties and promoting Sierra Leone’s foreign policy objectives. He is accompanied by Technical Adviser Dr. David Yambasu and Acting Director General Mr. Alan C. Logan.

This visit marks a significant step in Sierra Leone’s ongoing diplomatic outreach and reaffirms the country’s commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
