The Executive of the Sierra Leone Nationals Union in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday, 7th December, 2024 paid a courtesy call on the new Ambassador of the Republic of Sierra Leone to the Kingdom, His Excellency Mohammed S Barrie and his wife Mrs. Jalahan Barrie.
In his brief statement, the President of the Union, on behalf of the Executive and the entire membership, said the visit was significant as the Ambassador would represent the interest of all Sierra Leoneans in the Kingdom.
“Let me take this opportunity on behalf of my Executive and the general membership to congratulate you once again. We assure you of our fullest support and cooperation at all times,” Mr. Abdul Aziz Kargbo concluded.
Responding, His Excellency Ambassador Barrie commended the Union for the corstey visit. He assured them that he would serve as Ambassador for all Sierra Leoneans in the Kingdom. The Ambassador also outlined his plans for reforms aimed at addressing the interest of Sierra Leoneans in the Kingdom as well as deepening the bilateral ties between Sierra Leone and Saudi Arabia.
